Pizza, pyjamas and P3 awards…what’s not to like! Especially pizza. We hope that everyone who tuned in for the online party on Wednesday night had a fantastic time in their loungewear and enjoying pizza. Everyone was safe and cosy at home, but still coming together with the power of Zoom for some well-earned celebrations and festivities. And pizza. Did we mention pizza?
Warmest congratulations to everyone who was shortlisted for the Simply the Best Awards, and especially to the winners: Derbyshire Outreach Team and their wider team Keeping Everyone In, the Homeless Prevention Navigators and the Prison Navigator (Team of the Year), Katrina Brocklehurst and Linda Brookes (P3 Leaders of the Year), Leeann Clarke and Heidi Gibbins (Mandy Griffin Memorial Award) and Rachel Twocock, Claire Henry and overall winner Rhian Weston (P3 Person Award). The RPT Homework Club, Alison Marjoram and Naomi Clark also deserve special mentions for being highly commended in their categories.

There were extra surprises when people found their awards were being presented to them, at home, that very night! Here’s the moment Leeann got hers.
Mark said that choosing winners for the awards had been: “Bloody hard!” and thanked everyone at P3 for all their work since the pandemic began. “Without a doubt, your efforts will have saved lives,” he said, adding: “I couldn’t be prouder or more grateful.”
Thanks to everyone for joining in and to everyone who sent in a nomination for a P3 Award. Now we can look forward to our alternative get together in the summer. It’ll be outdoors (with a marquee in case we need it), so we can all meet safely and hopefully there will be a chance to dress up too. Details will be confirmed in due course. Maybe there’ll be pizza! Mmm, pizza.
