VIP3 2019!

#TeamVIP3 put on an amazing conference at the Molineux Stadium this week, aimed at bringing the expertise of people we work alongside to P3 staff from across the UK.

Look out for more from the team behind the scenes on the blog next week. For now, here are the highlights …

Jazz kicked things off by delivering a powerful opening speech about the impact of labels on people who have experienced mental ill-health.

The VIP3 edition of Unstrictly Come Dancing went down a treat, with special appearances from Linzi Winklewoman and Tess Nightly as the hosts, and judges Bruno Bailioli, Tanya Mabuse, Sam Revel Borewood and Esther Ballas (we’ll leave you to work these out from the pic!)

The ‘performances’ showcased a year in review, looking at how the People Shaping P3 team has worked with core departments like HR and Communications, to involve more people in the co-production of P3’s materials and merchandise, values-based recruitment, and Customer Service training.

The afternoon featured workshops facilitated by staff and people who’ve accessed our services, looking at topics like what a good quality P3 Place feels like, what skills and experience are important in a good support worker and the nuances of support: working alongside people, rather than doing things for them.

The team—Josh, Lindsay, Dan, Jay B, Jazz, Karen, Jade, Ali, Cain, Leah, Jay, Neil, Donna—were thanked by P3 Trustees John and Dorothy. A special thank you and gift went to Miles, Leah’s 10-month baby boy, who has attended all the VIP3 planning meetings with his mum and brought a smile to everyone’s face throughout the day!
