"Breaking the cycle of long-term homelessness"

Back in the summer, we asked for your help in sharing and voting in a bid for ACTion Glos to receive a Community Grant from the Nationwide Building society.

Nationwide was looking to support charities dealing with the many issues around housing and made £250,000 available, working alongside the Heart of England Community Foundation to help make a difference in communities across the West Midlands, including Gloucestershire.

We’re pleased to announce that P3 has been named as one of the successful charities!

ACTion Glos is set to receive an extra £40,000 towards supporting people with a long-term history of homelessness and complex issues to turn their lives around.

P3 Director of Strategy and Innovation Gemma Bukel stated:

“Our hope is for this additional support to build confidence with budgeting, hygiene, maintenance and understanding the responsibilities of being a tenant. Our aim is to break the cycle of long-term homelessness and enable people to maintain their own safe, secure home. For these people, tomorrow can be better than today.”

Thanks to Nationwide, and to all of you who voted!
