Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! Anyone else had those ‘I’d better get healthier’ thoughts when considering a resolution for this year? Our P3 Health and Wellbeing Calendar for January is filled with several ‘no meat, no alcohol, walk your dog etc’ national campaigns, which can tie in nicely if it’s something you are interested in exploring.

It might be too much to go entirely vegan all month for Veganuary while also becoming teetotal for Dry January. Then again, it might not – are you up for a challenge? Or perhaps you’re vegan and teetotal already. But if you’re not, then why not use the time to try exploring plant-based recipes you haven’t tried before, or gain some awareness and health benefits around alcohol?

And it’s also Walk Your Dog Month, a celebration of being out and about with our best friends and enjoying the health benefits for both dogs and humans. Here are my lovely spaniels, who make me get out of bed at 6:30am every morning! Great for my wellbeing, although sometimes I do question this when the rain is pouring down…

You know, sometimes, it’s the small changes that make a big difference, just one step at a time. Borrow a doggy for one afternoon, or have a veggie shepherd’s pie, or a Nosecco… let us know how you get on. Buddying up with a colleague can be a good idea – it helps when we are accountable to someone! If you fancy it, we have also included a couple of recipes for you. If you give them a try, share your results with us on Workplace.

Take care everyone, and have a great January.

Happy new year!
