Spookiest home workspace/office/hostel

This one goes to Charlotte Greenley in Development for an impressively spooky home office complete with handcrafted details like the pumpkin coaster!

Both Challenger and Chilton in Hillingdon were close behind though, putting in an amazing effort to transform the young people's houses for Halloween throughout the week. Special shout out for the spider-themed fruit basket and burgers!

Best fancy dress

Hayley Varrechia’s daughter Daisy created not one but two terrifying costumes – with terrifying expressions to match!

In the adults category, the winners were (collectively) all the folks at 83 Nottingham Road in Derbyshire, who got into the Halloween spirit with frightening ferocity.

Pumpkin carving

The prize goes to Claire Sullivan from Coventry for a pumpkin so expertly carved it doubles as a vase!

We’ve also got to mention Christine McManus’ autumnal take on the ‘sick pumpkin’. Delightful!

Best horror movie scene recreation in a photo/video

For a Killer Clown creepy enough to scare off Stephen King’s IT, the award goes to Hampshire’s John Clinton.
