We asked staff from around P3 what they think is key to wellbeing at work. Here’s what you said…

“Take the time to unwind at the end of the week (we have Friday afternoon debriefs so that no one starts the weekend thinking about work).”

Natalie Pirrie, Service Manager, HLNY Link Workers

“Yoga, dog walk first thing in the morning, swimming…”

Jodie Cook, Volunteer & Training Manager

"My partner works in mental health, and has told me to do 2 things:

- Try and switch off once you finish. After 5pm, it is your time with friends and family.

- Don’t be too hard on yourself; you can only do as much as you can."

Dan Thompson, Lincoln Floating Support

“Do something daft, like name your novelty P3 fluffy bug!”

Louise Owen-McGee, Head of Comms & Marketing

(name suggestions welcome)

“I always have an open door policy so anyone can come and talk to me whenever they need too. I am also in chats with a local Holistic Centre about possible lunchtime meditation.”

Sophie Clements, Service Coordinator, Cheltenham

“Laughter! And a good team ☺ ”

Sarah Stuart, Health & Safety Coordinator

“Making time to catch up with each other and talk about our week, our clients and what we're doing next. When you're often lone-working, a regular team catch up is essential to ensure we don't take all our clients difficulties home with us.”

Carly Fox, Mental Health Recovery Worker, Derbyshire

"Making it compulsory for everyone to eat their dinner away from their desk so they have a proper dinner break."

Linda Saxton, PA to Director of Housing

Down in Cirencester, they have a few good office policies:

"Every Friday is a fish and chips luncheon.

We have a big map of the world on the wall, which is a nice way of seeing your space in the world, and where you might like to visit (and therapeutic).

We have a series of statements from Frida Kahlo to Karl Marx.

We also do a bit of hoola-hooping!”
