Hi, from a very sunny Gloucestershire, for those of you that don’t know me I’m Ella and I manage the ACTion Glos team. We are a social impact bond, we work alongside people from across the county, but mostly in the urban centres of Cheltenham and Gloucester and we are now in our third and final year. We work with people that many other services will not.

I have worked for P3 Charity for five years, coming over from the dark side of local and central government to work for a charity! 

During the last few years I have experienced family bereavement twice. My P3 family (Gloucestershire and beyond) have been right there all the way, not only with work matters, but simply making sure I’m OK. Our Gloucestershire family are a good bunch, but don’t tell them!

The Three Musketeers!

We may be small in number but not in skills, We’ve gone from eight to just four (more about Nat in a bit!) Tina, Sara and Laura have had to change the way they work during lockdown to support all the people we work alongside. 84 people are still open to ACTion Glos across Gloucestershire.

Many of the people we work alongside lead incredibly challenging lives, helping them to understand lockdown and how it effects them has been interesting to say the least … The three musketeers have also helped out by covering shifts at our 24-hour services and supporting some people who have been placed in hotels. 

Between us all we have managed to move 123 people into accommodation out of an original cohort of 136—not bad going.

Not forgetting the lovely and very pregnant Nat!

The last few months have been particularly tricky for Nat, but she has risen to the challenge, by supporting her caseload and many more over the phone. As a team we have really missed her and her bump, we’ve all looked forward to our weekly team meeting over teams to off-load and catch up.

Not long to go now Nat!
