Glos ACTion awesomeness


There is no introduction I can give for the ACTion Lincs team that would do them justice. I think it takes a certain type of person to work in this team. Anyone who has met us as a whole team will vouch for that!
When asked to contribute to this week’s blog, one team member described how working from home has triggered parental Tourette’s and it goes something like this:

I feel we have embraced working from home during ‘lockdown’. It took us all a while to ‘settle’ as this wasn’t something any of us have experienced before, we’re usually on-the-go all day, every day dealing with anything and everything! However, ‘lockdown’ changed that, and the team had a chance to catch their breath.
I could go on about what we’ve still had to deal with, but there’s enough horrible things going on around the world, so we’ll stay on a positive note and keep it light!
The team all agree had coronavirus arrived at the beginning of the project it would have been a very different story. However, ACTion Lincs is working towards the end of the project and for most of the people we are supporting they are settled, happy to answer their mobiles to our calls, send us silly jokes via text, feel more confident to make the calls they would have asked us to do for them and embracing not being able to see their Link Workers face—some are enjoying this more than others!
Conversely, for us as Link Workers there has been some apprehension about not being able to enter properties and check how things are …
