The ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) programme was an opportunity for students who may not otherwise access the NCS programme to engage with bespoke NCS content, suited to their needs.

Run with Milton Keynes College at the end of last year, we had speakers of 18 different languages take part, some of whom have had challenging journeys in coming to the UK. This programme sought to create safe spaces where participants could build their language skills, identify strengths and connect with the local community, whilst exploring the key principles of challenge, increased responsibility and independence, reflection, social action, social mixing and inspiration.
