Meet Jo, Chloe and Natalie, who have all recently joined the HR team at P3…

Hi, my name is Jo Skelton. I started working at P3 in February, as a HR Business Partner, assisting, advising and helping our services within P3 with all aspects of Human Resources. I am passionate about HR, its policies and procedures and I enjoy keeping up to date with upcoming changes in employment law. I previously worked as a standalone HR Manager, so I am incredibly happy to be part of a wonderful team of HR professionals here at P3.

On a personal note, I am a mother to two girls, aged 12 and 8 and I try to be a good wife to my husband whom I have been with for 24 years! I live local to P3’s head office, on the Notts/Derbyshire border.

An interesting fact about me is that I have represented England at the sport of Lawn Bowls for 20 years. My first cap was back in 1996 and I chose to retire at the age of 36 – I was getting too old! Contrary to many people’s perceptions, bowls is not an old person’s sport. It’s a sport for ALL. The average age of the Ladies England team is about 30 years-old.

Competing for England, I have travelled to many places in the world, and enjoyed successes along the way. I met my husband through the sport in 1997; he is better than me(!) and has a Commonwealth Games Gold Medal, is ranked number 16 in the world and has been on the TV many times!

Safe to say bowls took up so much of my time, that when the children came along, I had to re-evaluate my hobbies. So, Zumba it is, several nights a week – it’s ‘exercise in disguise’ and brings such a happy vibe.

My first impressions of P3 have been positive – the organisation is complex, but I am eager to learn about the different services and the fabulous work that our colleagues do to make a difference to people’s lives. Everyone I have met so far has been supportive and very accommodating. I look forward to meeting you all at some point.

Hello, my name is Chloe and I am the new HR Coordinator. I have previously worked in HR/Payroll roles within landscaping, engineering and construction industries.

I am really looking forward to getting stuck into my role with P3 and working in a completely different sector with such a positive organisation. In my spare time I particularly enjoy socialising and travelling, so like many of you, I have found this last year incredibly difficult.

Fortunately, in the summer, I did get to visit London and have an ‘eat out to help out’ meal in the Shard (pictured) which was a lovely treat! I look forward to getting to know you all.

Hi everyone, I’m Natalie and I have recently joined P3 as a HR Administrator. Previously I worked as an Administrator for a charity called SV2 (Supporting Victims of Sexual Violence) which supported people in Derbyshire; I was with them for 16 years, so it has been a long time since I was the new girl!

I’ve heard lots of good things about P3 and I’m looking forward to learning in my new role even with the added challenge of remote working! I’m a big fan of action films and love the Marvel series, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and getting outside walking in the countryside.

I’m usually an avid gym goer—mainly to offset my love of food—so them being closed during the pandemic has not helped my waistline! I love holidays and travel, I try to get to Cornwall at least twice a year (I only managed it once last year, one got cancelled ☹).

I can’t wait to meet you all in person as soon as it is safe to do so 😊
